Hi everyone,

I want to welcome you to my website and  thank you for coming! I also want to let you know why I created this site. I am a mom of a 3 year old little boy and from the moment that I was pregnant.

I wanted  to be sure that I was at home with him and I wanted to be successful as a mom, wife, and business woman. Since I have desired success and achieved success in many areas of my life  I’m absolutely sure that all of you want Success in your LIVES!

I have made this site to help Empower each of you to success whether it be in your personal, or business life. I encourage you to take the time to read through the pages of this site and the blog posts so that you can gain the knowledge to EMPOWER YOUR SUCCESS!

I would describe myself as quiet and easy going.

I have been married for 11 years we have a 10year old daughter, a 7 year old daughter and a 2 year old son.

Family always comes first, I find it hard to save enough time for my business between family, and work.

In five years I would like to be able to stay at home and enjoy my children and all the activities they are involved. I would love to devote all of my ‘work time” to my Eclipse Candle Business.

How do I handle my bad days? Take a breather and start again with a new day.

My biggest life lesson learned is not to take family for granted.

I relax by spending time with my family, we love to camp in the summer.

Do Challenges Stop You?

I decided to write this blog because of the challenges that I have faced as a wahm. If you have been to my blog before you  have seen that I am a mom of a 3 year old little boy. I also suffer from a sleep disorder called narcolepsy, which i have have had for 10 years.  If you are not familiar with narcolepsy I will give you a little overview of what happens. PROMISE NOT TO BORE YOU!

What basically takes places is you get too much REM sleep ( meaning DREAM SLEEP) Yep I dream ALOT! lol…. anyway then because you don’t sleep properly at night it makes you want to to sleep at different times in the day and you DON”T even know it.  Also it causes dizziness, fainting, and high blood pressure because of the lack of proper sleep. While there is medication to help cope with the sleep disorder there is not a cure!

That being said its very difficult to be a mom and a wife with this condition. I have to  schedule my day out with naps, house work, mommy things, and sleep. At this time I have to be without the medication so i have days that are very bad. I never give up though I keep doing my best to be a Wonderful mom and wife.

Now I also am a wahm. I have to balance work in here too! Just thinking about it is making me tired lol…….Most of the time I get started working at night after my 3 year old falls asleep. This is what works best for me that I have found.  As you can see my days can be very challenging but I always remember that I am a wahm because of my little boy and my health so I never GIVE UP!

Marketing at No cost

We  are all trying to get the word out about our small businesses and perhaps giveaways being hosted. Twitter is a great outlet if used correctly, however there are other outlets as well.

1) Advertise your business for free on Craigslist. I’ve done this and it really does drive in traffic to your website. Just make sure you don’t run an ad in more than one city at a time or you’ll get black-balled.

2) Create a Facebook Fan Page which is also free, however, if you have the budget for it, you can quickly grow your fan base using FaceBook ads and it’s relatively inexpensive. I’ve created one for my business and am by no means an expert, but if you’d like to see it Click here.

3) Post quality comments on blogs/forums where you would reach your target market. Don’t spam! This only works if you provide value to the conversation.

4) To promote giveaways for free, I use Online Sweepstakes. There were some other sites out that I used to use, but they started charging so I just stick with Online Sweepstakes.

Social Networking Mistakes

Social networking sites are a great way to stay in touch with friends, family and even business associates however many entrepreneurs have found that they can also be a fantastic source for traffic generation. Unfortunately, many entrepreneurs make mistakes when trying to utilize social networking to drive traffic to their website.

#1  Not linking. Social networking is about connecting with your audience on a personal level however if you never link to your website, sales page or even an affiliate page then you’re not going to drive as much traffic to your site as you’d like. Sure people will check out your site via your profile but you can do better. Provide valuable information and link to your website from time to time.

#2  Always linking. People who link to their website incessantly without providing value or taking the time to connect with prospects online are shooting themselves in the metaphorical foot. You’re going to alienate people rather than earn visits to your website.

#3 Not spacing your posts out. How many times have you been on Twitter or Facebook and your entire screen is filled with post after post after post from the same person?  It’s infuriating and a great way to drive people away from your website rather than to it. Use one of the many tools available, like HootSuite, to schedule your posts.

#4  Spending too much time on social networking sites. Social networking can be one of the best, and most cost effective, ways to drive traffic to your website however, like most marketing tools the best way to optimize them is to schedule them into your day and to have a plan. It’s too easy to spend hours on these sites and not really accomplish anything.

Social networking has become one of the most powerful ways to build an audience, connect with people online, and to send tons of traffic to your website. It’s easy to make mistakes and fortunately, they’re also easy to recover from. Start planning and scheduling your social networking traffic generation strategy today.

Do you Have the Formula to Success?

Just a quick note to let you in on how marketing to any niche works. You need to get this right if you want to succeed on the internet or any business.

There are 4 parts to marketing.

1. A target market (a group of people with a common interest eg. body builders)

2. A product (physical or digital)

3. An offer (to get the sale $$$)

4. Delivery of the product (satisfy the customer) You take away any one of these parts and you’re not going to be in business very long.

However, there is a special formula to make these pieces work together for profit.

You need the right market .

You need the right product.

You need the right time.

Just think of it like fishing. Go to the wrong place and the fish won’t bite. Use the wrong bait..the fish won’t bite. Go at the wrong time….no fish! Whatever you do..don’t be trying to sell diet pills to guys going bald…that’s the wrong market and wrong product. Direct marketing is all about getting prospects to “act now” or take some type of action…either try your product or buy it. And that brings me to another important point. Action is needed by you, the marketer to get things done. Do some research, find a market, find a product, send out your offer and deliver the goods.

Are you a leader?

For most people, one of the most intimidating aspects about becoming an entrepreneur in internet marketing, (or anything for that matter) is becoming a leader, or rather the thought of having to be one to be successful. They get the notion that they will have to learn everything there is to know about their business, about marketing, the whole process before they set one toe onto the field of entrepreneurship. But you can’t do that. You have to start running now, pick up every book and training as you go to expand your knowledge. Being a leader isn’t about having all the answers. Leadership is taking what you know now and putting it out there to help others. Leadership=Helping. And the more you learn the more valuable you will become to others. It’s a rule that as soon as you learn something new, implement it. Teach it to others.

Leadership is about…get ready…attitude And if you just cringed because you think “attitude” is an over used word, here is an example…

Lets say you are with a group of ppl who are scared of climbing including you, well when asked who WANTED to go first everyone took a step back leaving you in front! So you had no choice but to DO IT! You has someone coaching you and while you were SCARED TO DEATH you managed to get it done.

Well one of your friends is next up and even tho YOU had just been climbing up so high, you were taking them through every move, telling them what to expect and what to do next. You said JUST DO IT! You are not an expert but you coached your friend on how you JUST did it!

Even tho it was extremely scary, each time you had to do it again you got better and even WONDERED what you were afraid of.

This is the attitude you need to have with yourself and your career as an entrepreneur. We all have to get over that scary first step, but after that first step is over, you grow and you’ve learn something from it. You go through the first step like setting up your first campaign, then you teach it to others. You learn how to make a video, write a blog, then you teach it to others. Don’t think that these small steps are not important…some people never get that far because they let their fear rule their lives.

Other traits of being a leader, is taking the initiative of learning something new and implementing it. Always be ready to help. Don’t just become a student of your craft, become a teacher as well. Remember in school when you felt like you got better at a subject when you tried explaining it to your classmates during a homework session? That’s exactly what this is.

So go now and get over that first step. Start using the strategy you want to grow your business with and start coaching others on how to do it. Take a deep breathe and write that blog or create that video. Thankfully, this doesn’t involve hanging from a harness 40ft in the air! You’re not going to fall and you have plenty of support around you to help you when you’re not sure what to do next.

Leadership is leading the way even though you may not know every direction which is why you take every book and tool you have to find what to do next. Leadership is taking action and initiative and if I had to say there is one thing you need before becoming a leader, it is to know and be yourself. Be yourself and start learning and growing and share it with everyone that you come in contact with and look out for those who are going through their first steps who don’t know where to go next. If you don’t have the answer, you have your support group to help you both get to the next step together.

Oh, and it’s ok to be afraid at times. It will get better. You just have to do it! :-D
